Last day in Ubon Rachatani! Bye to Jay again.

Good morning!

Jay told me that he takes me to the bus stop!

My hotel room! This is my favorite hotel during my travel so far!!

Tuk tuk!

Driver was sleeping...

Sri Isan hotel! Really cheap and clean and nice people!

Recommend!

Jay picked me up at the hotel and he took me to the best noodle place in Ubon!

The noodle was soooo yummy! And I was still hungry so I order one more...

But this one tastes.... Not really good...

I have no more Thai money and Jay took me to the mall!

I can exchange my money here he said!

This is a new huge shopping mall and Ubon people always come here!

Music live! Jay said the singer is a popular guy!

And I could exchange money here! According to Jay, I can use Thai money in Laos too and I was planning to come back in Thailand so I exchanged more than I need.

Bus stop!

I can take a bus to Pakse Laos from here!

This bus stop is huge and I can go many places from here!

I went to the ticket desk.... And.... the guy told me that there are no bus to Laos today....

Jay asked the guy more questions and jay said "You can take a but to the border and from border, you can take another bus to go Pakse!"

Mmmm sounds not easy..... But there were not many problems during my travel and it would be fun! Also, I do not want to stay in Ubon anymore so I decided to go with it!

I said bye to Jay! And told him to come to America or Japan anytime!

He told me "bus"..... But it was a just big car... And too many people....

The "bus" stopped some places and arrived at the Thai Laos border!

I could see a building but I did not know where I should go....

So this is Thai side border building... I just needed to go inside the building but I walked around outside...

Going out from Thailand was so simple! And no lines!

Bye Thailand! I will come back soon I think~

Ubon Rachatani Day 2~ Walking around myself..

Ubon Rachatani day 2..

It was hot day, and I told jay "I want to go around myself today! I know you have your job and I really like to explore the city my own!"

He said okay and if I need help tell anytime!

He is a really nice guy...

I slept a lot and relaxed in my bed and use internet.

After that I went outside!

Really hot....

This is Moon river near my hotel.

I wanted to relax so I decided to go to see a movie.

Jay told me there is a movie theater and I remembered the place so I used google map and headed to there.

On the way I saw a food and shopping booth.

I guessed it is for the candle festival.

I was gonna buy something but I didn't.. Foods there were not attractive for me too, so I just walked around and went out.

I walked toward a movie theater..... Soooo far....

I found a noodle place on the way, and I was sooo hungry that time so I went inside.

They all could not understand English but I tried to say "No hot! cold noodle please!!!!!"

One guy said "okokok!" So I believe him and I got this.....

Really hot... hot noodle.... Really hot weather... OMG...

One good thing was,,,, they had a fan... But still too hot...

I sweated too much and finished the noodle.. Actually taste soo good!

I walked forever and I could not find the movie theater...

I was so tired and too hot so I went back my hotel.... I wanted to find Tuk tuk or taxi but I didn't see any on the way.... I just walked home...

I could watch a volleyball game on TV and I slept!

Night time, outside cooled down a little bit, I went outside again.

They had a night market! It was really nice and I didn't see any foreigners!

I really like it!

Movie at Ubon.

I ate dinner at a clean restaurant near hotel.

Basel chicken! Soso

I wanted some massage so I asked a hotel desk lady any place and she told me one place.

It was about 15mins walk from my hotel.

At the entrance, it has "No Sex" sign...

Maybe some people expect this place is some special massage place??

Massage was good and my therapist was an old lady... How can I have sex with her??

Anyways I enjoyed exploring this city myself!

Tomorrow I will go to new country! Not really know about the place... Laos!

Ubon Rachatani~ Jay's hospitality!

Jay is the best tour guide here but it was too hot so I stayed in my hotel room and relaxed.

I watched volleyball on TV! I was surprised there was Japanese volleyball team were visiting Thailand that time.

I watched the game and slept a little bit....

I got phone call from front desk again..... "Mr. Jay is waiting here!"

I know... We said meet around 6:30pm.... He came 6pm...

Okay thanks..

Behind my hotel, there was a temple! Actually in Thailand, temples everywhere!

There is a park near my hotel and they have food booths every night.

So I can choose anything I want to eat.

But before we ate, he took me around the park.

It was a really nice park. Many people were exercising and hanging out at the park!

This is the symbol of this city? really big and nice!

I chose to eat pho noodle because I looked around and this place looked the best!

Jay told me there are many Vietnamese immigrants here so pho noodle here is so good!

Actually it tastes really good! I ate two bowls!

This outside food court opens every day! And so many variety of choices :)

I was planning to leave this place tomorrow... But Actually I really like this city!

My favorite part is my hotel I stay! I have my own bathroom and TV! and wifi is really good!

I go to Laos after this so I do not know what kind place I will stay so I decided to stay one more day!

Ubon Rachatani Now! Meeting the best guy Jay!

Sleeping train from Bangkok to Ubon Rachatani..

Train guy woke me up..

He told me the train is almost Ubon!

Outside view was nice but nothing! Country side..

I saw some small stations and arrived Ubon Rachatani!

The station is nice and there were many Tuk Tuk drivers waiting.

There were so happy when they saw me because there are not many travelers coming this place..

I took a tuk tuk.. Not in front of the station.. One tuk tuk driver was sleeping outside and I talked with him.

I booked a hotel before so I checked in! I could checked in so early!! Lucky!

I was so sleepy so I slept a bit and I contacted with Jay and he said he will come later.

I slept really well and I got phone call from hotel front desk and she told me "Mr. Jay is here"

Jay was still really nice guy and really happy to meet me!

Jay told me he can take me anywhere I want to go! But I said I don't know about this city so wherever you recommend!

He took me some popular temples. Nice temples and good weather!

And he told me about wax (candle) festival!

End of July they have a big festival and they are preparing for that now!

So we can see that!

He also recommended me to eat Esan food! Esan is north east part of Thai.

Food was so good and I like the sticky rice :)

Fat gog at the restaurant..

After that, he took me to the bus stop where I can take bus to Laos.

He checked the time and price for me.

Another nice temple!

I was kind of tired of temples in Thailand... too many... But actually some of them are really nice and gorgeous!

At the temple, there were preparing for the candle festival! Every year they make a new one!!

Another temple...

Jay... toooooo Hot today... I wanna some rest...

Good thing was... Jay took me around by car! Local tour guide is the best!

Jay told me one more place then go back hotel!

Nice! But hot..

Another candle!

It was really hot day so Jay told me to have some rest at hotel until dinner time.

Then go dinner together.. Jay!! you are amazing!

To be continue..
